The Proposal of
Megan & David
David and I met when I started back at the Independence FedEx Ground Hub in 2015, he was shy and funny, and I thought he just thought I was cool to hang with. I had no idea that he actually liked me. Fast forward to March of 2016, he and I both were in difficult times in our lives, and we both leaned on one another. We bonded as best friends. I would work extra hours just to spend time with him because I felt so good about myself… I felt like I had someone who wouldn’t judge me. We made it official on May 20th, 2016, and he has been my person ever since. On November 9th, 2019, he finally popped the question, and I was so surprised and excited. I had set up a Christmas card photoshoot with my friend Marrisa Wisman, and he asked me right there in our home; let’s just say he did very good! December 12th, 2020 was the best day of the year; regardless of the craziness going on around us all, we are so blessed.
The Wedding of
Megan & David
Our original wedding plan was canceled due to the global pandemic. We originally were to be married at the 1913 Heartland Barn in West Harrison Indiana, in November, the pandemic picked back up, and we dropped our 210 people count wedding down to 50 people. 3 weeks before our wedding, my father and brother both caught covid. We then decided to cancel our 50 person wedding and just have 25 people and do it at a park in Lawrenceburg. On the day of our wedding/elopement, it was pouring rain. One of my bridesmaids wouldn’t be able to attend because she had been exposed to covid, and at that moment, we had no real plan for a backup, but we just rolled with it. So we asked the Hollywood casino hotel (where we were getting ready in the rooms) if we could do our wedding there…they said we could go wherever we pleased. We ended up doing it at the outdoor valet parking area. It was beautiful, and all our favorite people were present with us for the big moment. We had waited 4 years for that day, and we were not going to let a global pandemic stop our story. Looking back, we had a fantastic day, and it will be a story that we can share with our kids and grandkids one day.
Megan’s
Bridal & Formal
Experience
My experience with Bridal and Formal was excellent, with so many beautiful gowns to choose from and pleasant staff!
I came into Bridal and Formal back in February 2020. I was so excited to have an old high school friend help me find my dream gown. Randy Fenoli’s Barbra gown was everything I could have dreamed of for a convertible dress that was unique and gorgeous. Jen was terrific and so helpful and sweet. She really made that moment special for my bridal crew and me!
