The Proposal

of Sydney & Ryan

It all started on a sunny day at a Keeneland tailgate on April 7th, 2017. Ryan and Sydney met there, and Sydney convinced Ryan to join her team for the tailgate games. They had a blast together, enjoying margaritas, sunshine, and horse racing.
After exchanging lots of witty banter and funny texts, Ryan and Sydney went on their first official date a week later at Pontiac in OTR, Cincinnati. From that moment on, they became inseparable. After dating for a year, they moved into their first home together in downtown Cincinnati. Since then, they have been on many adventures, including skiing down mountains, attending baseball and football games, and trying out the best craft beer and BBQ Texas offers. They now call Dallas, TX home.
Fast forward to April 10th, 2021, when Ryan popped the question to Sydney on the beautiful grounds of Keeneland. They were there with their families, and Sydney said yes! They are over the moon and can’t wait to start their new chapter together. What a beautiful love story!

The Wedding

of Sydney & Ryan

Sydney and Ryan’s wedding day was absolutely perfect! Seeing everything they had planned for so long come together smoothly, surrounded by their friends and family was excellent. The day went by quickly, but Sydney could say with certainty that it was the best, most fun day she had ever had. They started by getting ready at a local Airbnb with their fantastic beauty vendors, Tricia Lovelace for hair and Reign for beauty. When the bus arrived, it was time for Sydney to wear her dress and head to the first look location. They chose a beautiful park by the river, near the Purple People Bridge, for their first look, and as soon as Sydney saw Ryan, her nerves disappeared. It was a beautiful Fall day with some clouds and the perfect breeze. Sydney and Ryan took some fantastic photos with their wedding party at the bridge, some of their favorite day shots. They then went to Music Hall to get pictures of the iconic building. After that, it was time to prepare for their big moment at the Art Museum! Their photographer, Alison, did an excellent job taking photos of guests and all the decor in the space. Sydney appreciated her careful attention to detail, ensuring everything was included in their wedding album.

Waiting in the bridal suite was emotional – Sydney tried to stay calm and practice her vows, but her makeup had other plans. Luckily, the weather held off the rain until that night, allowing them to have their ceremony in the courtyard at the Art Museum as planned. When it was time to go upstairs, and Sydney saw the wedding party at the end of the aisle, she realized that this was the moment she had been waiting for her entire life and couldn’t believe it was finally happening! Sydney got a bit overwhelmed, but the Museum event staff was terrific and brought her ice water, and her dad fanned her with wedding programs while she waited for her turn to walk down the aisle! When the door opened and Sydney saw Ryan, she immediately felt a sense of calm wash over her. She knew what she was doing was so important and life-changing, but seeing him there allowed her to be present and absorb every second of the ceremony. The reception in the Great Hall was breathtaking. Sydney and Ryan entered the massive marble staircase and shared their first dance as husband and wife in the middle of the Great Hall. They knew they had made the perfect choice for their wedding day, even with all the pressure Sydney had put on herself to create the “perfect” day.

Sydney’s

Bridal & Formal

Experience

I was so lucky to have a fantastic consultant who seemed to understand my preferences better than I did! I was trying on different dresses, but none of them felt quite right. Honestly, I didn’t expect to have that magical bridal moment that everyone talks about (I was too stressed out for that!). Still, my consultant finally asked me to describe my vision for the day – how I wanted to feel, what kind of look I was going for, and everything else. Suddenly, she ran off and came back with THE dress. It was almost like magic – I knew it was the one when I put it on. I felt like I had slipped into my wedding day and was actually walking down the aisle. For the first time in my life, I felt genuinely perfect. It brought tears to my eyes, knowing I had found a dress perfectly fitting me and my vision for the day.
