Chanelle and Warren’s wedding day was just perfect! They had been watching the weather for weeks because October weather in Cincinnati can be unpredictable. They were hoping for the best and were thrilled when the day turned out to be sunny and 75 degrees. The ceremony was held at the Hotel Covington lawn area, and the reception took place at the Madison Event Center in the Grande Ballroom. Chanelle and Warren wanted to keep things traditional, so they decided not to see each other on the wedding day. Chanelle woke up feeling nervous and excited, but she tried to savor every moment of the day. She spent time with her bridesmaids, family, and coordinators/friends, feeling loved and supported. She shed tears of happiness when she saw herself in her wedding dress and when she had her “first look” with her dad. The ceremony was beautiful, and Chanelle’s nervousness disappeared when she said her vows. After the ceremony, they took a private moment to view the reception area alone and were pleased with how the hunter-green and copper decor turned out. The reception was fantastic, with great speeches, jokes, and dancing. Chanelle’s father/daughter dance was especially memorable, featuring soca, dancehall, and reggae music. Despite some minor mishaps, Chanelle and Warren’s wedding was the best day of their lives, and Chanelle wouldn’t change a thing if she could do it all over again.
Over Thanksgiving, my lovely grandmother came to visit, which gave me the perfect excuse to go dress shopping. I was fortunate to have my mom (Stephanie), sister/MOH (Sidnei), friend/bridesmaid (Liz), and grandmother join me on this dress hunt. Even though I hadn’t planned on buying anything that day, I found “the one.” Out of all the stores we went to, B&F had the best service. The associate we worked with was kind and patient, taking the time to understand my style and preferences. She was lovely to my grandma, who’s blind and had to touch and feel every dress I tried on. The associate’s reaction to my choice of dress was the icing on the cake. I’m so grateful for the perfect gown I found and happy that I made the right decision.
