The Proposal

of

Sarah & Jake

Jake and Sarah met around 8 years ago online, and Sarah immediately felt that Jake would be someone special in her life. They dated briefly before splitting up, but they stayed in touch frequently to check how each other was doing. Sarah contacted Jake about 5 years ago, and he felt it was time to meet up after not seeing each other for a few years. Sarah and Jake went on a stroll the next day, then on a date the next day, and then started dating! Fast forward to May of 2021, Sarah was turning 30, and she didn’t want to be in the state when that happened. They went to Fripp Island for a week, and two days after Sarah’s birthday, Jake proposed at sunset. Sarah had no idea it was going to happen! It was picture-perfect, and she couldn’t fathom anything else occurring.

The Wedding

of

Sarah & Jake

Sarah and Jake’s wedding day was picture-perfect. They had been through some trying times to reach this point. From their initial venue catching fire to scrambling to find another one where they could see themselves being married to replanning their entire wedding in 5 months, the day couldn’t have gone smoother. To say Sarah and Jake had a great time would be an understatement. They had unique things at their wedding, such as a paint pour for their unity ceremony, a flower man, and breakfast for supper because why not? Sarah and Jake’s DJ kept the party going until the last second. They elected to have a short rave-like session with light-up batons and Dub Step music, which pulled everyone out of their chairs and into the action! It was more successful than imagined and was talked about for months after their wedding.

In terms of weather, the day couldn’t have been more ideal. Although it was forecast to rain, it was a bright, sunny day with a warm temperature. The photographer for Sarah & Jake excellently caught their day and even got pictures of events they were unaware of. Their videographer was precisely the same way. He and his colleagues documented their day as it unfolded. Nothing was staged. Nothing was prepared ahead of time. They also worked well together so Sarah and Jake could have the best day possible. Sarah sometimes reflects on that day and wonders how they were able to pull off such a memorable wedding, but they did, and they couldn’t be happier.

Sarah’s

Bridal & Formal

Experience

My experience with Bridal & Formal was great! Everything went smoothly, from making the appointment to arriving. I never once felt uneasy there, and I had the impression that everyone was there to assist me in finding the ideal dress. Jen, my stylist, found out this was an appointment to search for a new dress because the first one I bought didn’t feel right anymore. She was determined after that. By the end of the appointment, I had chosen my absolute dream dress and couldn’t stop thinking about it.
When I arrived to pick up my dress, the designer was present, and they went to get him and bring him over for a picture with me while I was dressed! Few people can say they met their designer, which will always be my most vivid recollection.
Jen is nothing short of fantastic when choosing the ideal dress. She took the time to sit down with me, listen to what I liked and disliked, and see if I was open to other options. Jen stayed within the budget I told her and chose several gowns. Jen could tell I wasn’t entirely sold on any of them while trying them on, so she decided to go all out with the final dress I tried on. It was the only dress that elicited my genuine reaction, and I couldn’t wait to see it in the large mirrors. My heart was instantaneously smitten. Jen could tell I was still reluctant to commit, so she took a different approach and had me close my eyes and imagine my wedding day. I started crying right away. I knew immediately that it was my gown. She was the best bridal stylist I could have had, and we got along incredibly.
