The Proposal of Marci & Dakota

Marci is an excellent teacher, and so are her mom and Dakota’s mom. They all work together at the same elementary school. On Valentine’s Day in 2020, Dakota planned a surprise proposal with the help of their moms and the school staff. After school, the principal called for a “staff meeting,” but it was just the beginning of Dakota’s romantic plan. Dakota’s mom talked about a new book program they were implementing, and then she asked Marci to demonstrate by reading a particular book aloud. As soon as Marci saw the book’s title, she knew it would be amazing. The book, titled “I Love You to the Moon and Back,” was written by Dakota and was full of reasons why he loves Marci, along with cute pictures of their Bitmojis together. The last page of the book asks, “Will you marry me?”. After Marci read the page, the curtains opened, revealing Dakota playing and singing a new song he had written just for her, called “Marry Me.” Dakota sang about how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Marci in front of the entire school staff. At the song’s end, Dakota got down on one knee and asked Marci to be his wife. It was such a beautiful and heartwarming proposal, with all the important people in their lives present at the place that means so much to her.

The Wedding of Marci & Dakota

Marci and Dakota’s wedding day was absolutely perfect! The weather was beautiful, and they were surrounded by their amazing family and friends. The guys and girls spent all morning getting ready and couldn’t wait to see each other. The ceremony was held at Dakota’s family’s farmhouse, which made it even more special because it’s where Dakota’s parents and other family members had gotten married too! It was so sweet to see Dakota waiting eagerly at the end of the aisle with his groomsmen and the preacher while Marci made her grand entrance on a tractor with her bridesmaids and father. Dakota sang Marci’s favorite song, “Marry Me” by Train, which was a beautiful and emotional moment.
After the ceremony, the bridal party surprised everyone with a fantastic dance to “Forever” by Chris Brown for their grand entrance into the reception! Dinner was delicious, and the speeches by the maid of honor, best man, and Dakota’s mother were touching. And can we talk about the cake-cutting moment? Marci smashed cake in Dakota’s face, which was hilarious, but he was such a good sport! They shared their first dance to a song that Dakota wrote and recorded just for the occasion, which was so romantic.
Marci had always dreamed of dancing with her grandfather at her wedding, but unfortunately, he wasn’t there. Luckily, Dakota’s grandfather stepped up and offered to dance with her, which was the sweetest thing ever! The night ended with so much dancing, laughter, and great memories with their loved ones. It was indeed the best day ever, and everyone involved did such a fantastic job at making it even more special than they had imagined!

Bridal & Formal

Experience

When I went wedding dress shopping at Bridal and Formal, I had the most fantastic experience! The staff there was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and they truly made me feel special. I felt like I was shopping with my closest friends.
The ladies were so honest and provided me with their professional opinions on each dress I tried on. They were also super friendly to my friends and family who came along with me. The whole experience was so much fun and made my wedding planning journey even more exciting!
My bridal stylist, Bobbi, was absolutely fabulous throughout my appointment. She listened carefully to what I wanted and picked out some gorgeous dresses for me to try on. Even though I chose the first dress I tried on, Bobbi continued to let me try on other styles to make sure I was happy with my decision. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I’m so grateful to the team at Bridal and Formal for making it such a wonderful day!
