Elijah and I have known each other since I was eight, and he was thirteen. Elijah’s sister and I have been best friends since we were eight. Throughout the years, we have taken many family vacations together and grew up together like a family. It wasn’t till 2020 that we decided to give dating a try. It wasn’t long after the first date that we knew we were perfect for each other. After almost a year and a half of dating, Elijah proposed. Every year our families go on vacation together. In 2021, we decided to go to Siesta Key, FL, for our summer vacation. Since we had started dating, Elijah and I had never had professional pictures taken together, so I decided to plan a beach session with a local photographer. Little did I know that Elijah would use this session as a proposal. As we took pictures on the beach, Elijah had all our family members and close friends come to the beach to hold a sign asking if I would marry him. It was a sweet moment that I will always cherish.
The night before the wedding, my bridesmaids and I had one last sleepover before the big day. The next morning was the big day. It was sweet to spend the morning getting ready with my bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law at the church. As we finished getting ready, I began to share the first look moments with my bridesmaids, father, younger twin brothers, and Elijah. It wasn’t long before the ceremony started. As my father walked me down the aisle, it was special to have the traditional wedding March played live by a trumpet. Our ceremony was filled with lots of sweet moments and tears as we read our own vows to each other and then said, “I Do.” We exited the ceremony to find a surprise horse and carriage ride waiting for us. It was the perfect ending to the perfect wedding ceremony. Soon after our carriage ride as husband and wife, we traveled to our reception, where we danced the night away with all of our family and friends. It was the perfect day spent with everyone we loved.
I could not have asked for a better experience than my one at Bridal and Formal. Everyone I met was welcoming, kind, and intentional in making my experience unique. Evidently, they cared about helping me find my dream dress and making the experience one I could always look back on as a core memory in my bridal era.
I could not have chosen a better consultant than Sandra to help me find the perfect dress. She never failed to make me feel special and was always on my side. She helped me realize what I truly wanted in my wedding dress, and I didn’t stop searching until she helped me find it.
