We met when I was a freshman in high school, and he was a sophomore. He DM’d me on Twitter, and that’s where it all began! From then, we continued our relationship and went on to go on to the same college. In October of 2019, he proposed to me in my parent’s backyard in front of all our favorite people. I knew it was coming, but I had thought it was going to happen the next day at our family photos, so I was shocked! He had these large “marry me” letters made, and it was the perfect proposal.
The day was an absolute dream. Chandler and I are both very emotional people, so to say there were tears would be an understatement. He is my best friend, and I couldn’t imagine marrying anyone else. We had a 360 Ceremony, which was super special to be surrounded by all the people we love to witness the next step in our lives. Seeing him at the end of the aisle is a memory I will never forget. We chose not to have a first look, so that was the first time I had seen him in 24 hours which made walking down the aisle to him even more magical. It was important to us to write our own vows and to be able to explain more in-depth what the other meant to us and our relationship. I will always recommend this to people, as it is a conversation between you and your spouse of all the meaningful anecdotes of your relationship and promises that you will carry out in your marriage. After the ceremony, we walked down the aisle, and then we dismissed all of our guests row by row so that we could see and talk to each guest that came to the ceremony. Then there were pictures and the reception. The reception seemed to fly by, and we had the most fantastic time dancing with all of our guests and making memories that would last a lifetime. I am so grateful for all the help from family and friends that made the day even better than I could have imagined. I am forever thankful for my husband and the life we have made together. I couldn’t have asked for a better and more meaningful day to marry my husband.
It was amazing! I had previously gone to another shop in Cincinnati and wasn’t even half as impressed as I was with Bridal and Formal. The number of dresses that they had to choose from was astounding! I tried on quite a few dresses before I found the one. Everyone was so helpful and helped my vision come to life. One of my favorite parts of the whole experience was when they took me to put my hair up. We stood in the room, and they turned on the “reception lighting.” It was great to see the whole look in all the different lightings to see what I would look like in the dress for all the various aspects of the wedding!
Jen was wonderful! She knew before I said it if I liked a dress or not, almost like she read my mind! I had tried on dresses before, so I already knew what I wanted and didn’t, and Jen knew the best dresses to put me in. She was so kind and the most helpful.
