The Proposal

of

Lexi & Austin

Lexi and Austin’s tale began in the summer of 2013 when they were about to start their junior year at Carroll High School! Their lockers were a few feet away, and they sat next to one other in many classrooms because their last names were so near. Lexi and Austin first met while on a dodgeball team with mutual friends and, subsequently, a co-ed softball team in the summer of 2013. They went to Lexi’s father’s basketball game at Wright State University on their first date. Austin met her entire family (a little overwhelming on a first date). On July 12, Austin proposed to Lexi after several movie theater date evenings, dinners with friends, and softball games. The adventures and memories have continued since then!

Lexi and Austin were debating their Christmas plans. Austin was in North Carolina with his dad, while Lexi was in Dayton with her family. Christmas morning arrived, and Lexi had yet to hear anything from Austin. Lexi was upset and perplexed about why he hadn’t spoken to her on Christmas morning! Lexi’s family visited her grandparents’ house to wish them a Merry Christmas. She was the last person to arrive at her house. All of the lights in the house were turned off, and an illuminated pathway went up to the Christmas tree in Lexi’s parents’ living room. Her siblings were all standing by the front door, telling her to go ahead and start walking. She was perplexed. When she reached the living room, Austin sprang out and proposed. Lexi, of course, said YES! His parents, who were also hiding in the kitchen, sprang out! They had driven from North Carolina. Lexi’s parents, siblings, and Austin and his parents were overjoyed! They all ate Christmas dinner together and spent the rest of the night celebrating!

The Wedding

of

Lexi & Austin

Lexi and Austin’s wedding day started with the bridesmaids, mom, mother-in-law, and many other family members getting ready together! It was a great morning, drinking coffee and mimosas and eating breakfast. They all got their hair and makeup done while listening to music and hanging out. All the girls close to Lexi made her a scrapbook with letters. It was the sweetest thing, and it is safe to say we cried out a lot while reading them. It was time for the girls to put their dresses on and for Lexi to put on her dress! Lexi & Austin did a first look and cried some more! Before they knew it, it was time to head to the church. They got to ride over in style in the Carroll van. The boys were already at the church getting ready together. When Lexi arrived, the boys and girls ate Chic-Fil-A before the ceremony. The church was filling up, and the bridal party was prepared to walk down the aisle. Lexi’s dad walked her down the hall; the moment they had been waiting for was finally here. They said, “I do,” and it was time to celebrate! Lexi & Austin took pictures at a few places and rode around on the party bus with their bridal party. They then arrived at the reception and had the most amazing first dance, entrances, speeches, and dances. Lexi & Austin ate, drank, and danced with their family and friends all night. They had the best night of their lives with the most important people in their lives! Lexi & Austin wouldn’t change a thing!

Lexi’s

Bridal & Formal

Experience

Going dress shopping, I was so excited and so nervous at the same time! I brought my mom, sister, and grandma with me. I am one of the most indecisive people; I had multiple different styles in my mind of dresses I loved, so I knew it would be hard. My consultant was Iris, and she was the BEST! She pulled out dresses she thought would go with what I wanted for my big day. I walked around the store with her to pick a handful I liked. The third dress I tried on was the one. I knew I needed to try on one or two more just to double-check, and after that, I went right back to that third dress. I tried it on again, and it came out. I instantly started crying. I was so happy my sister, Mom, and grandma loved it. Iris listened to what I wanted; she was patient and didn’t make me feel like I had to make a quick decision. I went back to pick up my dress and then went back a third time to pick out my earrings, and every time I went to the store, I was greeted with a smile, and everyone was willing to help. When my earrings came in, I was still deciding, and they let me exchange them and made sure I was happy with what I got! I highly recommend Bridal and Formal to anyone and everyone!
