Eli and I met in 7th grade in 2006. He was friends with my twin brother and sat in front of me in history class. On May 8th of 2007, after weeks of talking via AIM/AOL, Eli finally asked me out. On May 8th of 2021, on our 14th anniversary, he asked me to marry him at our belated Cinco de mayo party in front of all of our friends. It was precisely how I wanted it to happen. We got to celebrate the whole night with everyone we loved most.
We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day. After multiple days of rain, we woke up the morning of the 8th to a beautiful day. It was the day of our 15th anniversary of being together. I got ready with my bridal party in an air BnB nearby while the guys helped out and got ready at the venue alongside friends and family. 4:30PM rolled around, and the ceremony began. The bridal party walked down to Lindsey Stirling’s Zelda Medley, and I walked down to the Jurassic Park Theme by The Piano Guys. We wrote our own vows, and everything flew by. We said “I do” before we knew it, and on to wedding photos we went!
Our guests enjoyed chips/salsa and guac from Mazunte and drinks for a cocktail hour, and we joined them around 5:30PM. We had our first dance and then sat down for dinner. We had tacos, rice & beans, and they were delicious. As dinner & concluded, my matron of honor did her speech, and then my twin brother, our best man, did his. We quickly cut the cake so we could start the party! We walked around, visited with friends and family, and danced the night away. Once 9PM rolled around, everyone was gathered at the exit to do a bubble send-off. We couldn’t stop talking about how happy we were and how everything worked out perfectly. It was the best day.
I had a great time at Bridal & Formal and am so happy we went there. The place is beautiful, with so many dress options. No other stores I went to could compare to the amount they offered.
Lacrecia was my consultant, and she did an excellent job. She made me comfortable from the get-go. I had a few dresses in mind, and once I tried those on, I realized they were not for me. She went out of her way and pulled multiple other items based on what I was looking for. The last dress of the day that she pulled (the one I thought I wouldn’t like) was the one I ultimately went with. It was everything I wanted and more; it fit me and my personality perfectly.
