This beautiful love story started in 2019 when Logan and Katie met through her cousin Tyler, a childhood friend of Logan’s. Tyler and Logan planned a game night and invited Katie to join them; it was love at first sight for Logan and Katie.
Fast forward to June 11, 2021, Logan proposed to Katie on the same land where they got married, and let me tell you, it was the sweetest proposal ever! That morning, they were busy packing up their home in Edgewood, Kentucky, as they were moving to Arizona the next day, where Logan was being stationed for his Air Force duty. After loading their stuff into a U-Haul, they drove down to Owenton, KY, where they planned to spend one last night together at Katie’s parents’ house.
Katie’s sisters and Logan convinced her to go on a four-wheeler ride around the farm. They ended up near a tree decorated with lights and roses. There was a sign that read, “Will you marry me?” Logan then knelt down and proposed to Katie, who happily said yes. It was a beautiful and unforgettable moment for the couple, marking the beginning of their next adventure together.
Logan and Katie’s wedding day was perfect! They spent 8 months preparing and building a barn, and everything turned out stunning. On the day before the wedding, they spent the whole day setting up and preparing so that the big day would be stress-free.
Katie was so happy to have all her closest friends and family there as she got ready. As always, the wedding fun starts as soon as you wake up! Katie is the oldest of four daughters and the first to get married, so this was a whole new experience for them. Her three sisters are her best friends, and having them there meant everything to her. While the girls were drinking mimosas and doing makeup, the boys were over at Elk Creek Winery getting ready, too.
The day leading up to the wedding ceremony was cloudy and VERY windy, but thankfully, just 30 minutes before Katie walked down the aisle, the wind stopped, and the sun came out. Perfect timing!
Katie did a first look with her father before the ceremony, and the pictures the photographer captured were priceless! Logan and Katie didn’t do a first look, but they did have a private moment back to back, where they read each other their vows. Katie and Logan wanted to save the first look for the aisle, and Katie wouldn’t have had it any other way.
After the ceremony, the reception was in the newly built barn, and everyone had a blast! Katie comes from a big, close family, so there were lots of people there to celebrate, and they danced until the night was over!
I had a fantastic experience at Bridal & Formal. From start to finish, everything was perfect. My bridal stylist, Sandra, was incredibly attentive and took the time to understand what I was looking for. She was patient and allowed me to try on multiple dresses while providing valuable feedback on each. Sandra ensured that all my concerns were addressed and that I felt comfortable with my final decision. The process was delightful and stress-free, thanks to Sandra’s expertise and professionalism. I highly recommend Bridal & Formal to anyone seeking a beautiful bridal experience.
