The Proposal of Kateland & Jacob

Kateland and Jacob’s love story began on Tinder. They talked for weeks before finally meeting at Holy Grail for their first date. However, the date went differently than planned as Kateland ran late due to a busy work day. But Jacob was understanding and waited for her with open arms.
Their second date was a success as they attended a Reds game. Fast forward five years, and Jacob proposed to Kateland on January 2nd, 2021, while on vacation in North Port, Michigan, at the family lake house. It was a beautiful winter wonderland proposal, planned with the help of his brothers Bobby and Mitchel and soon-to-be sister-in-law Rianna.
The couple enjoyed touring vineyards and wineries in Northern Michigan before ending the day with photos in front of a beautifully decorated evergreen tree for the holidays. It was a magical moment for them that they will never forget!

The Wedding of Kateland & Jacob

Kateland and Jacob had a beautiful wedding day, made possible by their fabulous wedding coordinator, Nicolette Holthaus from The Embassy. Thanks to Nicolette and the rest of the Embassy staff, everything went smoothly and stress-free. The bridal party got ready in two incredible rooms at The Embassy Suites RiverCenter. The girls got pampered in the Presidential Suite, which had a stunning city view. The Embassy Suites even served a catered breakfast to both rooms to start the day right. The weather was perfect, with a partly cloudy sky and a temperature of 70 degrees, the ideal first day of autumn. The church was beautiful, and the riverfront provided a perfect backdrop for photos to remember the day. Kateland & Jacob even got a picture in front of the ballpark to remember their first (and second) date. Kateland was thrilled with how excellent Nicolette and the Embassy staff were. They made every part of the planning process easy and fulfilled every request, from a late-night skyline bar to a signature cocktail, and all the food was delicious. The event staff set up all the centerpieces, tables, lighting, and signs, coordinated the DJ and cake, and then cleaned everything up at the night’s end. But the one thing that made the night unforgettable was the stunning view of the city on the river, with fireworks going off from the Reds game that was being played. Kateland and Jacob are still receiving compliments from their guests on the view and how much fun they had that night.

Kateland’s Bridal & Formal Experience

I had the most fantastic time at the Bridal and Formal when I found the perfect wedding dress! The store was like a dream come true for anyone looking for the ideal wedding dress. The staff, especially Mary, were absolutely incredible.
When I first went there, I had a specific dress in mind. But everything changed when I saw the Cersei Eddy K dress on a mannequin. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. The dress had sparkles, beading, and gold lace detailing. The back and train were stunning, too. When I tried it on again, everyone I brought stood up as soon as they saw me.
My hairpiece and veil from Bridal and Formal perfectly complemented the dress and made me feel like a queen. And you know what’s even more amazing? I returned to buy bridesmaid dresses (Dessy, Velvet Auburn Moon), and even my mom bought her dress there!
But what really made the experience unforgettable was my bridal stylist. She was terrific and went above and beyond. She was patient and spent much time with me and my family, ensuring I found the perfect dress, accessories, and bridesmaid dress color. She was kind and really listened to me.
