The Proposal of Kassy & Kyle

Kyle and Kassy first met through a mutual friend almost a decade ago. They started dating much later when Kyle moved to Nashville. Whenever he visited Evansville, he would try to take Kassy out on a date. However, Kassy was either busy working or in and out of relationships.
Fast-forward to 2019. Kassy and her best friend visited Nashville to do some Black Friday shopping. They were looking for something to do later that evening and decided to contact Kyle for recommendations. Unfortunately, Kyle didn’t see the message until the next day, when Kassy and her best friend were already home. However, this sparked a conversation between Kyle and Kassy, and a month later, they went on their first date.
After a couple of years of a long-distance relationship, Kyle proposed. They were on vacation in Key West and had met up with a friend of Kyle’s. Kyle had confided in his friend that he was planning to propose but was unsure of the location. They came up with a plan without Kassy knowing. They took Kyle and Kassy out on their boat to a beautiful island. Typically, there would be a beach to hang out on, but the water was up. Kyle asked Kassy to take a picture with him in the shallow end. As she turned around, Kyle knelt in the water, asking Kassy to marry him. Kassy was utterly shocked! It felt like a moment from a movie. Her boyfriend was ready with champagne to shower them in after Kassy said yes! It was a perfect proposal!

The Wedding of Kassy & Kyle

Kassy and Kyle’s wedding day was unforgettable! Everyone tells you the day goes by quickly, but you must experience it to understand. You fuss about everything being perfect, but there will always be a few hiccups. In the end, though, those things don’t matter. What you remember are the special moments.
Kassy kicked off the day with her mom and bridesmaids at the hair salon, sipping mimosas as they finished their hair and makeup. Brooke went above and beyond to make Kassy’s hair absolutely stunning, while Haley made her feel like a princess. They continued getting ready at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, where Kyle and Kassy decided not to do a first look. Instead, they opted for a first touch. Gena and Jordyn did an excellent job capturing their most treasured moments and helping them ensure everything went off without a hitch. Kassy stood on one side of a wall in the courtyard while Jordyn helped Kyle walk backward (to make sure there was no peeking!) up to the other side. They held hands around the corner and exchanged letters. The ceremony was beautiful, and they shared it with their loved ones.
After taking pictures at Vann Park, they hopped on a party bus and traveled to Cambridge for the reception. Kassy and Kyle’s first dance was to “My Person” by Spencer Crandall. Kassy’s dad and she had a father-daughter dance mashup that they will remember forever. Only a few people knew about it; even Kyle had just seen it that day. It was perfect! After Kyle’s touching dance with his mother, they had a champagne toast and danced the night away. David Horner captured all of the special moments. He created their gorgeous wedding video so they can relive their special day forever! Last but not least, their wedding cake was the best they had ever had. They can’t wait to dig into the anniversary cake this year!

Kassy’s Bridal & Formal Experience

I had an absolutely perfect experience! We drove for over three hours to visit the dress store. Sandra, our consultant, was simply fantastic! I showed her many pictures of the dresses I had picked out (probably around 7 pages worth, haha), but she quickly understood what I was looking for. I was anxious, but she was a true professional and returned the most stunning dresses! To my amazement, they were having a Maggie Sottero trunk show. I met my dress designer, and Dresses hung out with us almost the entire time we were there! It felt like I was on a Say Yes to the Dress episode! Dress for an unforgettable day!
