Hannah & Robert || A Dream June Wedding

The Proposal

of

Hannah & Robert

Robert & I were set up on a BLIND DATE by Amanda Tuchfarber (Bridesmaid) in 2017. Amanda taught with my mom @ Ross High School for several years and has known me since I was a little girl! After leaving Ross High School, Amanda accepted a job at Oak Hills High School, where she started co-teaching with Robert!
I was working at Colerain High School at the time (also my Alma Mater) working on my master’s degree to become a Special Education Teacher. Robert was teaching at Oak Hills but was a wide receiver’s coach at St. X. That being said…it only made sense for us to be introduced during the most significant football rivalry week of the year…COLERAIN VS. ST. X! (You Westsider’s can relate) Why is this important? @ the time, so this was an immediate competition…not much has changed in our relationship LOL (: Needless to say, the game did NOT go in Robert’s favor, so I could not formally meet him on the field after the game.
Quickly we planned to meet in person and had our very first date at Wild Mike’s…again, West Sider’s, you know what I’m saying! This happened to be on Thanksgiving Eve that year, and I ended up inviting Robert out with my friends later. Low and behold, the one night my dad decides to come out with us, he gets to meet Robert on THE FIRST DATE NIGHT! Never thought that would happen, but it worked out perfectly! That same weekend, Robert and Jake (Groomsmen) attended a Bengal’s football game, so Robert and I tailgated together with my friends.
We officially started dating on December 22nd, 2017. Robert wrote a handwritten letter where he asked me to be his girlfriend AND burned 2 CDs (we are ancient) of songs that described our new relationship. That same weekend, I was introduced to his family at a Christmas party.
In the summer of 2018, our relationship definitely started to seriously develop. We had our first vacation together to Siesta Key, FL, with my parents. Shortly after, we traveled to Colorado Springs, CO, to visit Alex (Groomsmen), stationed there, and his wife, Kelly! Since then, we have traveled to Charleston, SC to see Robert’s family, Panama City, FL, Miami, FL, Key West, FL, The Greenbrier in WV, Gatlinburg, TN, Annapolis, MD, New Smyrna Beach, FL, and the list continues!
During the winter of 2018, we took the next step in our relationship and moved into our first apartment together! We lived there for almost 3 years, and it was an absolute blast! We started cooking together virtually every single night. We could attend numerous sporting events in the area, hang out with friends, and fully understand each other’s antics…XBOX and Dateline, to name a few.
July 9th, 2020…Robert proposed at The American Theater in downtown Charleston. For those of you that know me, my favorite movie is The Notebook. This theater is a significant spot in the film. Robert constructed the sign on the front of the theater to read Will You Marry Me? Love you, Robert. Despite everything that was going on with COVID-19, I was utterly SWEPT off of my feet. Robert totally nailed the proposal as I knew he would!

The Wedding

of

Hannah & Robert

Our wedding day was indeed a dream come true! We were surrounded by 350 of our closest family and friends. We decided to NOT do a first look and save that for the first time we saw each other walking down the aisle…it was electric! If I could go back and relive the entire day, I would. It went by in the blink of an eye. If I could sum up the whole day with my now-husband, I would say it was indeed serendipitous and everything I ever imagined it to be.

Hannah’s

Bridal & Formal

Experience

I had a fantastic experience at Bridal and Formal! The staff was very supportive and professional. I knew exactly what I had in mind for my dress, and they exceeded my expectations. The best was showing my mother-in-law the dress for the first time, and the tears were flowing! Such an unforgettable moment!
