Danielle and Craig first met while working at the large local bank headquartered in Cincinnati. Danielle was somewhat taken aback by Craig’s handsomeness and eloquence during a presentation. Craig was impressed by Danielle’s beautiful smile and inquisitiveness; the two more formally met over a networking lunch. After that First Watch lunch, Danielle couldn’t stop raving about Craig’s wittiness to her friends at work. At the same time, Craig immediately went back to work, not realizing that fateful lunch would be the start of a great friendship.
Then the first date, a marriage proposal after a couple of years of awkward hallway conversations, dinner dates around town, and travel adventures as a couple and with friends!
Danielle’s toughest decision (outside of picking dinner daily) came November 20, 2020, following a favorite pandemic activity — happy hour walks around the neighborhood. After Craig and Danielle took a stroll down to the local park with the city skyline in the background, Craig’s previously impressive eloquence (that wooed Danielle originally!) suddenly was non-existent, and Craig rambled through some heartfelt words (trust him, they were amazing) before proposing to Danielle…and SHE SAID YES!
Our wedding was incredible! Mostly I remember dancing all night with our guests, which was the most fun. The priority was to get to the party as soon as possible! Our ceremony was exactly what I had always dreamed of and was very personal with our friend, Todd, officiating. His message was beautiful, speaking to sacrifice and trying to do one thing each day for your partner. We also created a top 10 list of why we love each other, and our officiant read those to us to hear for the first time. Craig and I’s first dance was flawless, and we loved dancing to Joy of My Life by Chris Stapleton. Towards the end of the night, we had a smorgasbord of Cincinnati favorites for late-night food, including cheese coneys (Craig’s first love). Our last song of the night is my absolute favorite dance song, “I Want to Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston. The guests were having so much fun that when the DJ put on “Bye, Bye, Bye!” to gently ask people to leave, everyone continued dancing. Best day EVER!
I had a wonderful experience with Sandra. She knew what she was doing! I really liked the first dress she put me in, but it was the last dress I went with. It had sleeves that I didn’t like and couldn’t really picture why she grabbed it, but it was absolutely perfect once we took the sleeves off!
