Durell and I met through his cousin, who I am friends with. We met up for drinks and have been together ever since! Durell proposed at one of our favorite restaurants! I was shocked and had no idea he had even purchased a ring! I’m very observant, so it’s hard to surprise me… I was shocked!
Our wedding celebrated love and new beginnings on a day that symbolizes freedom and new beginnings (Juneteenth)! Our theme was a whimsical fairytale. From the moment guests walked into the venue, the historic floor to ceiling ivory walls and an overwhelmingly beautiful floral array, bistro lighting dangling from the high ceilings. Our grand entrance was made on the balcony as the guests looked up in awe. Our first dance was made magical by the pillows of fog that looked like clouds carrying us.
I initially was coming to narrow down the style options that I imagined for my wedding day. I did not intend to find the one! My stylist was very helpful, and I walked out with my dress ordered!
