Ty and I had known each other since I moved in a couple doors down when we were 8 years old! We both grew up playing in the creek and even together a handful of times. A few years later, Ty moved out of the neighborhood. We lost touch, and after, we were in the same 6th-grade class. Neither of us was interested in being friends or talking, for that matter. Fast forward to high school, and we reconnected. We were both in marching band together and eventually became close friends, and we decided to start dating. 7 years flew by, and we have made it through driver’s licenses, high school and college graduations, career decisions, And finally, the proposal. Ty and I went to parks in the spring of 2021 and loved being outside. Little did I know he was planning on proposing at the park, so he was trying to make it seem not obvious! We made dinner on the day of the proposal, and he wanted to go to a new park near Mt. Lookout called Larz Anderson Park- which overlooked downtown. It was a warm spring day in April, and the sun began to set, creating a beautiful background for a proposal! Ty’s uncle was in the background and captured fabulous photos, which was so special!
We picked Rolling Meadows Ranch because of the barn’s beauty and the unique outdoor space and accommodations. Ty and I love being outside, and we wanted an outdoor ceremony Rolling Meadows had the perfect outdoor ceremony space. We had the most absolutely gorgeous summer day on the wedding day, and we could not have asked for better weather. The day started out with spending time with our closest friends, getting ready, and just enjoying time with our bridal party. Sharing such a special day with my favorite people was a blast. Ty was adamant about not doing a first look, and since that was the one big thing he wanted- we did just that. The first time Ty saw me was when I walked down the aisle, and our first eye contact was so special. Once I saw him, all the anxiety leading up to this moment disappeared, and all that mattered was him and this moment. After our ceremony, which was even more special since Ty’s uncle officiated our wedding, we got to kick off the party! It was so incredible having all of our closest friends and family there. Rolling Meadows was special because we had a beautiful outdoor patio
space with firepits and a cornhole setup! People had a blast! Our wedding was at the end of June, one of the year’s longest days! We had a gorgeous golden hour photo time; it was the first time Ty, and I truly enjoyed being a couple that night. We were so thankful to Rolling Meadows for making our day so special.
Bridal and Formal is a fantastic place. From the moment I walked in till 6 months later, when I walked out with my dress, the experience was incredible. I felt like the only one in the store with the most beautiful space to try dresses. Bridal and Formal was the second store I went to, blowing the first store out of the water. The facility is gorgeous, and the staff truly makes you feel special.
Iris was amazing! She was the best consultant. I couldn’t dream of having anyone better than her. She just knew me so well without me having to say anything. I had an idea of what I wanted, and she perfectly perfected it. The dress I selected was never in my mind, but as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was perfect. I could not have done that without Iris.
