Bobby and I met in September 2017 online. After a month of texting and talking on the phone every night, Bobby insisted on taking me on a proper first date. We decided on Moerlein Lager House, and we hit it off instantly! After an evening of walking around Smale Park and talking about everything under the sun, we both knew we had found something special. Two and a half years later, Bobby (finally) decided he was ready to propose! The weekend restaurants opened in 2020, and he knew he wanted to book a reservation at Moerlein and recreate our first date. After lunch, we decided to walk around Great American Ballpark to find my birth father’s engraved brick. Once we found it, Bobby said, “I wish your dad could be here for this moment, but being at his brick will have to do.” That is when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I promptly responded with a “shut up!” Surrounded by our friends and family (all in disguise), I said “yes” to the man of my dreams. He planned such a beautiful and meaningful proposal. He even hired a photographer to capture the special moment. One of the best surprises of my life!
Our dream wedding came to life on April 9th at the Glendale Lyceum. The ladies spent the morning getting ready in the Bridal Suite with mimosa while the gentlemen watched The Masters in the Groom’s Pub. After a beautiful room reveal and first look, we went to Glenwood Gardens for our outdoor photos. While the guests were arriving, my bridesmaids and I passed the time by making Tik Toks. We had a beautiful indoor ceremony (thank goodness because it rained, snowed, and sleeted all day!) My Aunt, Tracy, did such a fantastic job officiating our ceremony. She added the perfect personalized touches. My husband and I agree that the day’s best part was exchanging our personal vows. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
After the ceremony, we took final family and golden hour pictures. Shortly after cocktail hour, my husband and I had our first dance to “Perfect” by Ed Sherren, which has been “our song” since we first started dating. The night was filled with drinks and dancing. At the end of the night, we had a glow stick exit. It was the perfect day!
My experience was absolutely amazing! I recommend Bridal & Formal to every bride I meet. I had a lot of questions the day I bought my dress, as well as months after. Whenever I called Bridal & Formal, all my questions were answered, and I always hung up the phone with a huge smile. I can see why everyone loves this shop!
Words cannot describe how incredible Bobbi was the day I said yes to my dress! I went into my appointment having a vague idea of what I liked. She helped me explore different types of dresses without getting overwhelmed. She also made me feel like a million dollars in each dress I tried on! I remember walking out of my appointment, and everyone with me said how excellent Bobbi was at her job. I had the best possible experience trying on wedding dresses!
