Chris and I actually met in the ER about 7 years ago. At the time, he was a doctor, and I was a nurse, finishing my master’s degree to become a nurse practitioner. We were cordial but didn’t really get to know one another at that point. Once I was done with school, I actually started working as a nurse practitioner for the same group he works for. We worked more together and got to know one another more. We became friends, and things just progressed from there. Our technical first date was laid back with jeans and hoodies, grabbing a drink at a local bar. It was so low-key that I didn’t realize it was a date!
Chris proposed in Florence, Italy. I had dreamed of going to Florence and had never been. We were supposed to go to Amsterdam and Paris, but he surprised me and took me to Florence first. He had arranged a private tour of the city and even had our tour guide in on the proposal! He popped the question at the Piazzale Michelangelo overlooking the city. It was terrific; even if he was so nervous, I could barely hear what he was saying!
Our wedding day was fantastic! The bridal party met early to get ready and had our hair and makeup done. We shared muffins, bagels, and morning mimosas! The guys got ready at home while watching soccer. The guys were at the church while we finished getting ready, and the limo driver came to pick the ladies up. We met at the church, and I did a first look with my Dad. Our wedding ceremony was gorgeous. Our officiant gave the best-personalized service. He talked about our travels, including getting engaged in Florence, Italy. He compared our story to Disney World, which is one of our favorite places to travel together. We even celebrated our year anniversary there a month ago! After the ceremony, the bridal party traveled to Hills and Dales for beautiful pictures. We even played a round of Thunderstruck on the way to the reception. We all met at the Grande Hall for the reception and danced until our feet hurt! The cake was absolutely divine! It was a perfect day, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day!
Bridal & Formal was terrific. I had an idea of the type of dress I wanted, but it needed to be completely set. I had an appointment with a nearby salon that I ended up ditching to make a walk-in appointment at Bridal and Formal. Bridal Formal was so &accomadating. The salon was great, and everyone was so helpful. My bridesmaids ordered their dresses there, and it was all a breeze, especially with a few girls not living locally.
Lacrecia was FANTASTIC! I was still determining what dress I wanted, but she helped me find my dream dress. She helped me try on dresses I would have never chosen for myself. She also helped me choose a dress that fit the venue where I would be married. I wore a gorgeous Randy Fenoli gown, which was stunning. Lacrecia even gave me ideas on how to wear my hair with the dress neckline, and she helped me pick out jewelry and accessories to match my dress before leaving that day. She was so personable and patient, even when I wanted to try a few dresses to decide on one. She made the wedding gown process seamless!
