A Picturesque Outdoor Wedding

The Proposal

of

Casey & Sabrina

Casey and I have known each other since we were about three years old. We met playing soccer, and my dad was our coach. When we were younger, we played soccer together and were on the local swim team together. Though we went to two different grade schools, we reconnected in high school, where we instantly became best friends. Though Casey tried to ask me out multiple times, I consistently said no in fear of ruining our friendship. I finally agreed to go on a date with him our junior year and never looked back.
Though our families, and I, were always pressuring him to propose, he waited until this past April. We went for a small hike with our dogs on the day that we were supposed to be in preparing for a trip to a private mountain top in Pennsylvania. Casey had been planning on proposing on our journey and was upset that we could no longer go due to covid, so he last minute changed plans and proposed in the middle of our hike! We decided very quickly that we would do everything we could to get married in just six months.

The Wedding of

Casey & Sabrina

Though covid kept us from having many of our friends and family at the wedding, we feel fortunate that we could still celebrate our long-awaited day. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect day! For late October, the weather during the day was warm and sunny. Though it did storm heavily in the late afternoon, it held off for my outdoor ceremony. All in all, the ceremony turned out spectacular—lightning in the background made for a really unique look. We had an extensive support system and would not have been able to pull it off it wasn’t for them.

Sabrina’s

Bridal & Formal

Experience

I am fortunate to work for Bridal and Formal and got the best advice from our management staff on what gowns looked best, were in the budget, and most importantly, what would get here in time for me to do alterations. I was absolutely in love with my dress from the day we got it in-store, though I never thought I would be able to wear it for my own wedding. The dress was shallow cut and showed too much cleavage for me. Thankfully we were able to speak to the manufacturer and get extra lace to fill in the bust.
Luckily, I could have our two bridal managers, Tina and Staci, as my consultants. They both pulled many options that were the look I was going for. Though we all knew which dress I loved, we tried many choices to make sure the dress was everything I wanted and would be the absolute best gown for me and my venue.
