Hayley and Pete’s proposal took place at the most magical place on earth, Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. They were on vacation with Pete’s family, and Hayley had a feeling it might happen during the trip. However, she had made it clear that she wanted both sets of parents to be part of the proposal so no one would miss it.
Thursday was Hayley’s last day in Florida before she had to return to work. They spent the day park-hopping, and she had booked a virtual queue for their favorite ride, the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Pete, however, was less excited about this as it interfered with his plans for later in the day.
After the ride, Hayley thought they were heading to a dinner reservation in Epcot, but Pete had secretly canceled it. They made their way slowly to Magic Kingdom, with Hayley even stopping to change because she was uncomfortable. Still unaware of what was about to happen and starting to feel a bit hangry, she asked where they were meeting Pete’s parents when they arrived. Pete told her they were meeting by the statue.
When they reached the Walt and Mickey statue, a Disney cast member was there to take their photos. During the photoshoot, Pete got down on one knee and asked the big question. Hayley was shocked and didn’t answer immediately, feeling a little sad that her parents weren’t there. Just then, her dad called out to her, and she realized her parents had made it to Disney to be part of that special moment. It was a dream come true, having everyone she loved there to share in their magical moment.
Hayley’s wedding day began with early excitement as Christina arrived to do hair and makeup for the bridal party. By 11:30, they were ready for photos, giving Hayley time to enjoy intimate first looks with her parents, Pete’s parents, and Pete himself. Afterward, they took bridal party photos with their 8 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen, making the day even more special.
One of Hayley’s favorite parts of getting ready at the venue was seeing her vision come together. Before guests arrived, everything looked perfect, from handmade place cards to her mom’s centerpieces and a photo arch made by her uncle.
At 3:45, the bridal party headed to the Greek Orthodox Church in Dayton for the 5:00 pm ceremony. Despite a minor mishap when the priest stepped on Hayley’s veil, the ceremony was beautiful. Afterward, they took formal photos and headed to the reception.
At Rosewood Manor, Jodi and her team had everything running smoothly. The night began with lively bridal party introductions, followed by Hayley and Pete’s first dance, heartfelt speeches, and a blessing from Pete’s Godfather. A surprise visit from Mr. Red and Rosie, honoring their first date at a Reds game, made the evening even more memorable.
Instead of a traditional cake, they opted for a dessert bar with cookies and treats made by the family. The night was filled with dancing, mingling, and candid photos taken by guests using QR codes placed around the venue.
The day flew by in a blur of joy and love, with every detail, from hidden Mickeys on Hayley’s cake to her late grandma’s dress, making it truly magical.
Growing up, I dreamed of visiting Kleinfeld’s in New York with my papa to find my wedding dress. After he passed in 2018, that dream seemed distant, but fate had other plans. When I visited Bridal and Formal to start my search, Randy Fenoli himself was there. It felt like a sign.
When my mom and I walked in, we knew we’d find my dream dress. After trying on a few, I stepped into the Bentley dress by Randy Fenoli and instantly knew it was the one. Randy came over, added the perfect accessories—belt, veil, jewelry—and walked me through each look. Then, he asked me the question I had always dreamed of: “Are you saying yes to the dress?”
I said yes, of course. It was a magical moment that felt like a dream come true.
Looking back, the experience feels like it just happened yesterday. I hadn’t planned on buying that day, but my bridal stylist, Jen, was incredible, pulling dresses that matched my style. I wanted something with glitter, and though I tried on several dresses, nothing felt quite right until I stepped into the dress. It was emotional and perfect with my mom by my side and Randy there for the final touches. Saying yes to that dress was everything I had hoped for.
