A Lovely Romantic Wedding

The Proposal of

Katherine & Max

We met at a high school party at the beginning of our Junior year. We went to separate schools and only saw each other on weekends but somehow managed to become the other’s best friend. It wasn’t till Max started dating someone else a year later that I realized I liked him in any way more than friends and being the blunt person I am, I told him. From that moment on, we were together. According to our parents and friends, we spent way too much time together, but we were always happiest and most comfortable. Fast forward 5 years, and we were still strong as ever and inseparable. Due to rules for the college program I was in, I was not allowed to have my nails done; however, every weekend for months, I would do them in hopes he’d get the hint and pop the question. I was convinced I knew he was going to ask the night he did ask. However, sitting together the night of the proposal at the prima vista, he had me absolutely convinced at that moment it wasn’t happening, so I went to the restroom and texted my friends to tell them I was wrong. However, once we left the restaurant, we went to take the picture overlooking the city views like we always did, but this time we got a picture, and we got engaged. Our hidden photographer (Max’s brother) missed the moment Max asked and knew when he heard my scream he had missed it, even with the missed moment by his brother, I wouldn’t change a thing. Then we got in the car to go home to tell his parents and then mine, and when we arrived, I found he had already set up a surprise engagement party for us with all our family there.

The Wedding of

Katherine & Max

The absolute best day of our lives. We started our day with a first look and pictures all day long; as we are high school sweethearts, we thought it would be cool to start with pictures where we took our prom pictures, Fernbank Park. Then we hopped on the bus and headed to Aston Oaks for more pictures. We drove around in a golf cart and got to see all the beauty Aston Oaks had to offer. We were married at St. Jude Bridgetown by Father Jim Ackerman (best priest in Cincy). It was an evening ceremony that consisted of guests every other pew and spaced 6ft apart, which is not how either of us pictured our day. Regardless of changes and setbacks we faced getting married among covid, not a thing went wrong that I’m aware of the whole day things moved like a dream. We were married and popped some champagne outside the church, then headed straight to our reception. We had our entrance, and speeches then ate dinner (well, our guests ate while we snuck away for more pictures). Then we cut the cake, did our dances, and then partied the night away. It honestly did go by so fast, but the absolute best moment was sitting at the table together hurrying while we ate our first meal together as husband and wife so we could go party with all our friends and family. While admiring all of the guests there to share in our love, we could eat together.

Katherine’s Bridal &

Formal Experience

Bridal and Formal exceeded all my expectations. I had known quite a few other brides that had gone there, and it was my first stop. I had absolutely no intentions of finding my dress or buying a dress that day as it was my first experience shopping I really had just gone to find the right fit for me and get an idea of what I wanted. However, with the staff’s fantastic help to help me find exactly what I didn’t know I wanted, I couldn’t leave my appointment without the dress. I never felt confined to a time limit or rushed; I felt so valued the entire time I was there shopping, and for every visit, I made back to get accessories and pick up my dress.
Sandra was a dream bridal consultant. To this day, I tell all my friends, family, and friends of friends to ask for an appointment with Sandra. She made me comfortable, confident, and relaxed. I was a nervous mess walking in, and she calmed me down immediately, making it a process I’ll remember and cherish forever.
