A Beautiful Start to their Adventure Together

The Proposal

of

Seth & Stephanie

Seth and I met online on Plenty of Fish in December 2015. Our first date was The Festival of Lights.
After a hard couple of months with some family members passing away, we decided to get away and stay in a cabin in Brown County, Indiana. He was super quiet the whole ride there (Seth was trying to figure out what he was going to say, so he told me). Once we got settled into the cabin, he pulled me close and told me how our dating and being together had made him so happy, and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked the big question. My first reaction/words were, “are you kidding me?” I was so in shock that he asked me to marry him, it took me a couple minutes to process this, and I finally said yes. The first thing we did as an engaged couple was go to the grocery store.

The Wedding

of

Seth & Stephanie

Planning a wedding during covid was the most stressful thing a girl could ever go through. So many things run through your mind… will venues get canceled, will the governor limit the number of people we can invite, will your wedding party come down with covid, or get sick and not be able to be at your wedding? But it will go on as planned even if this does happen.
Hair and makeup were done by Cloud 9 Salon and Spa. I went in with an idea of how I wanted it, and they did a fantastic job. I felt like a princess getting pampered.
The countdown was on, and it was 1 hour before I walked down the aisle. My nerves are building at this point. Feeling sick to my stomach but also get butterflies. I started to walk around, trying to keep myself busy. Looking out the window and watching all the people show up and support us made me feel blessed.
It was finally the time to walk down the aisle and see my future husband. My nerves are out of control, and my hands are shaking and sweating. I am beyond blessed that my dad was with me the entire time, talking to me and keeping me calm. The doors finally open, and my stomach drops, seeing all those people here for us, but also seeing my fiancé up on stage waiting for me, and all of a sudden, it felt like we were the only ones in the room.
We decided to do the unity sand instead of candles: 3 different color grains of sand, burgundy representing Stephanie, grey representing Seth, and white representing God. After the unity sand was completed, we hugged our family and thanked them for their love and support.
The last thing to seal the deal was exchanging the rings, my hands were shaking and super sweaty from being nervous, and the wedding ring didn’t go on my finger as easily.
Then we were pronounced husband and wife. Now it’s time to party at the reception.

Stephanie’s

Bridal and Formal

Experience

Bridal and Formal were so helpful. I walked in with a price range, and they showed me where to shop. Lacrecia was my bridal consultant; I told her what style I liked, and she helped me pick out dresses based on my type. She was charming and professional. She took me to Paris (another room in the store), added beautiful jewelry to my dress attire, and did a quick formal endeavor. I recommend Lacrecia to anyone coming to Bridal and Formal.
