The Proposal

Ashley and Nick, despite growing up only a few miles away, only met once they both started working at a local restaurant called Depot Barbecue in 2016. They were drawn to each other immediately and bonded over their shared sense of humor and outlook. As time passed, they developed a strong friendship, eventually leading to a romantic relationship in 2017. Through the years, they laughed and helped each other grow and mature, finding in each other both a best friend and romantic partner to face life’s twists and turns. In early 2021, they bought a home together where they live with their two beloved cats, Leo and Penelope.
On Ashley’s birthday weekend in December 2021, Nick took her on a scavenger hunt with stops at various locations that were special to the couple throughout their relationship. The final clue led Ashley to French Park in Amberley Village, which was the place where Nick took Ashley on one of their first dates. To Ashley’s surprise, when she arrived at the park, she found Nick, their family, and friends waiting for her. Nick then took Ashley to a field and asked her to marry him. It was a wonderful and unique moment that they got to share with their loved ones.

The Wedding

Ashley and Nick’s wedding day was simply excellent! It was like a dream come true. They had their wedding at St. Gertrude Church, where Ashley’s parents married over 40 years ago. Ashley always imagined getting married there as a little girl, and finally, her wish came true. She was so thrilled that her dad, who was struggling with end-stage fibrotic interstitial lung disease, walked her down the aisle. Shortly after the wedding, he went for a double lung transplant.
The day was perfect, and the newlyweds couldn’t stop raving about it. Everything was perfect, from the breathtaking stained glass windows and the stunning architecture of Vineyard Central, where the reception was held, to the fantastic DJ playing all their favorite songs and Ashley’s gorgeous dress that received so many compliments. But what made their big day truly special was the unwavering support and love from their fantastic family and friends who came to celebrate with them. Ashley and Nick will always cherish this day and relive it repeatedly in their memories.

My sales consultant, Reagan, was AMAZING! She truly knew my taste in dresses more than I did (and I didn’t think that was possible). Reagan found me the most beautiful dress I still cannot stop looking at. I would wear that dress every day if I could.
