James and Nikki’s love story began at Buffalo Wild Wings near their campus at Northern Kentucky University. They met through their buddy Tommy, and before their Monday night class, they would always hang out at B-Dubs. After graduation, they took their relationship to the next level and moved in together. Their love grew stronger each day, and they even adopted a cute little pup named Spike.
Together, they’ve traveled the world, explored tropical destinations, and embarked on exciting journeys with their friends. They saved up for five whole years and finally bought their very own home! After changing careers, they had plans to visit Thailand, but the trip was canceled. Instead, they celebrated their 10th anniversary in Mexico, and James surprised Nikki with a lifetime journey with their Pure Romance squad group of friends. It was an unforgettable experience!
Although the world has changed so much since then, James and Nikki enjoy each other’s company 24/7. They’ve learned so much from one another, grown together, and figured out how to make compromises. They’re so grateful to have each other and their adorable dog, Snoop. They’re even planning their dream wedding now!
It’s crazy to think that it all started at Bdubs. Fate sure has a funny way of bringing people together.
James and Nikki had the most beautiful wedding day they could have ever hoped for! After getting engaged in Mexico on their 10th anniversary, they had a fabulous two years of planning and preparation for their special day. They chose the perfect date of 9/17/22 because it was the same day they got engaged, 9/15/20. During the planning process, James and Nikki’s wedding hashtag was #finallygettingMurrayed. To make sure everything went smoothly, Nikki hired Blush and Bloom’s Weddings and was partnered with Lisa, who was absolutely amazing and there for her every step of the way.
On the big day, everything was just perfect! The weather was warm and sunny for the ladies to prepare for hair and makeup, and everything went according to schedule, from makeup and hair to decor and flowers. Nikki didn’t have a single worry on her mind, thanks to Lisa’s help. The guys arrived at noon to get ready and hang out while the ladies started taking stunning photos with Steph Keller, who was fantastic and so friendly!
James and Nikki decided to have a first look to take all their photos beforehand and spend more time with their family and friends during the reception. Nikki designed her dress exactly how she wanted it, and thanks to Lisa Rose Alterations, it turned out perfect. They asked their friend Wesley Thompson to officiate because he knew them from their bowling league, and he did such an excellent job, making their vows so meaningful and emotional.
James and Nikki did a unity candle ceremony to symbolize their love for each other and the bond they were making with their families. The speeches by the Best Man and Matron of Honor were absolutely priceless, and they had a fantastic group of friends and family on both sides for their bridal party. After getting married, they changed the hashtag to #FinallyMURRAYED.
Overall, James and Nikki’s wedding was everything they dreamed of and more! It was elegant, classic, lighthearted, welcoming, and celebratory, and they couldn’t have asked for a better day.
I had the most fantastic experience at Bridal and Formal! When I found out that Randy Fenoli was coming, I just couldn’t contain my excitement – I’m a big fan of “Say Yes to the Dress,” and the fact that Bridal and Formal had so many options and designers to choose from made it all the more perfect. I scheduled my appointment immediately and even called my dad to see if he could come down from Pennsylvania to share the moment with me!
The staff and atmosphere at Bridal and Formal were beyond amazing, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone searching for the perfect wedding dress. My appointment went off without a hitch, thanks in no small part to my fabulous stylist, Sally. She was so friendly and attentive to my needs and preferences, and with only five dresses tried on, I could create my own custom dress that fit like a glove! Sally worked wonders, and I’m so grateful to her for making my dream dress a reality.
