Jenn had a great idea out of the blue – a weekend camping getaway at Caesar’s Creek! She was feeling overwhelmed by her busy work schedule and needed some time to unwind in nature. On the day of their trip, Jenn taught dance until 4 p.m., then quickly finished some admin work before they hit the road. Matthew took care of all the planning, which worked well for him. By the time they left, it was dark and rainy outside.
As they drove, Jenn checked her emails while Matthew talked about the GPS. Jenn wondered why he was so surprised they were taking back roads to get to their camping spot, but she shrugged it off. When they arrived at the campground, Jenn had questions about the check-in process and where their campsite was. Luckily, Matthew had everything under control and showed her the way.
When they arrived at their spot, it was still raining, and Matthew went out to scout a good location for the tent. Jenn thought it didn’t matter where they set up since the area was flat. But then something strange happened – Matthew suggested that they stay inside the tent instead! Jenn was confused until she realized their tent had Christmas lights.
Jenn was in for another surprise inside the tent – a bottle of champagne chilling with two glasses, rose petals, and playing cards spelling out “MARRY ME?”. She was over the moon when Matthew asked her to marry him, and of course, she said, “YES!”
Jennifer and Matthew’s wedding day was absolutely perfect! They had the best time with some of their closest friends and family, and the weather was ideal. Unfortunately, their Best Man couldn’t attend in person due to COVID-19, but they ensured he was there in spirit by Facetiming him to “walk” down the aisle with the Maid of Honor. The couple chose to have their ceremony outdoors and the reception indoors to be closer to nature, which they both love. (Matthew even proposed to Jenn with string lights, rose petals, and champagne during a camping trip!)
Jennifer had been a dancer, so she choreographed their first dance. While picking out her dress, she chose something danceable and comfortable – light and smooth. The dress Jennifer picked was perfect because it even had a slit for extra mobility, and the decorative off-the-shoulder sleeves were detachable. She even had two pairs of shoes, one for the ceremony outside and one for the reception inside, and it was a great decision.
Overall, it was a beautiful and memorable day they will cherish forever!
The first time I went wedding dress shopping, it was with my mom. I went with my cousin, sister-in-law, and a close friend the second time. Kathleen assisted me on both occasions and was very helpful. She pulled out dresses based on my likes and dislikes. However, it took a lot of work to make a final decision because some dresses were gorgeous but not quite suitable for the outdoor wedding setting I had in mind. Additionally, I was looking for a dress that would allow me to perform choreography at the wedding reception. I wanted to be lifted by my husband and able to lift my legs.
On my second visit, Kathleen pulled out a dress from the Eddy K trunk show, which had yet to be there during my previous visit. It was the perfect dress, with everything I was looking for – it was lightweight, had a slit, removable off-the-shoulder sleeves with beaded lace, a tulle skirt, and a semi-see-through corset. It was perfect for dancing! The only downside was that it didn’t have pockets. After I said yes to the dress, I found out it was from Eddy K’s Italian collection, Natalia, which made it even more special since I am Italian, and my niece’s name is Natalie.
Kathleen was an excellent consultant and very supportive. She helped me pick out dresses based on my preferences, and I appreciated receiving a handwritten card from her after buying the dress.
