The Proposal

of

Lorin & Jacob

Lorin has known Jacob and his family since she was a child. Jacob’s godmother was Lorin’s mother’s neighbor, while his dad was one of Lorin’s mom’s best friends in grade school. Lorin also used to dance with Jacob’s sisters, and she became very close to his oldest sister when Lorin was a senior in high school, and Jacob’s sister was a freshman. Lorin had a crush on Jacob since she was eight years old. She saw Jacob at one of his cousin’s graduation parties and had never stopped talking about him since then. Lorin even joked with her mom and his godmother (Aunt Beth) that she would marry him someday. They texted each other for a while during the summer before Lorin’s sophomore year in college.
Jacob reached out to Lorin, and after talking for a while, he asked her to go on a “second first date.” The date went well, and they talked for three hours at the restaurant. Lorin couldn’t wait to see him again and told him right away. Jacob asked Lorin’s parents if he could marry her before one of her basketball games at Cedarville University, where Lorin was a cheerleader. He met them before the game and proposed to Lorin later in May at her childhood home in the front yard. It was the perfect day, and they celebrated with their families when they returned home.

The Wedding

of

Lorin & Jacob

Surrounded by loved ones, the couple started their day with their bridesmaids and groomsmen getting ready at the venue. The groomsmen had a blast in the groom’s barn while the ladies enjoyed a relaxing time in the bridal suite, where they had close family and friends help with their hair and makeup.
After their first looks, Lorin and Jacob’s ceremony started at 4:30 in the meadow. Lorin had a special moment with her dad and bridesmaids, while Jacob spent time with his parents and siblings. Afterward, they met in the meadow for their “First Look” with each other, where they read their personal vows. The couple integrated both of their pastors into their ceremony and had live music played by Lorin’s aunt and uncle. They took communion and braided a cross made by Lorin’s grandpa. Guests sang one of their favorite hymns, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” and butterflies fluttered around them during the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the couple had family photos and started the reception. They worked with City BBQ for catering, which was a hit with their guests. The couple also had Dayton Bartending Co. for bar services and Graeter’s Ice Cream Truck outside for guests to enjoy. The DJ, Dustin, kept the party going all night, and the couple had a private dance in the meadow under the lights. It was a perfect day filled with private moments that the couple will cherish forever.

Lorin’s

Bridal & Formal

Experience

I had a fantastic experience at Bridal and Formal. A few years ago, I accompanied my cousin to the bridal salon and was blown away by the beautiful gowns and the excitement of everyone there. When it was my turn to shop for a wedding gown, I returned to the salon with my parents and had an appointment to figure out what style I wanted. The appointment was beneficial, especially since I tend to love everything. Later, I returned with a larger group to choose my gown and selected a stunning Ines Di Santo gown that was light, airy, and romantic – perfect for our wedding vibe. My sales stylist, Molly, and Tina, the manager, were both fantastic and made me feel welcome and shared in my excitement. I recommend Bridal and Formal to any bride.
Molly was my sales stylist, and she was fantastic. She helped bring my vision to life and narrowed down my ideas while still listening to what I wanted. Her fun personality made working with her a great experience. When I spotted my gown on the hanger, I hesitated to try it because it looked too fitted. However, Molly encouraged me to try it, and it was the perfect dress for me.
