Will proposed to Madisen on a special day – January 23rd, 2021 – a palindrome number that reads the same backward and forwards as 123. He enlisted the help of the Matron of Honor, Kayla Rice Lambarth, to create a grand proposal plan. Initially, Will told Madisen that they were going to dinner, but they had to quickly check out a house on the way, leaving Madisen needing clarification. Finally, Will stopped the car and asked Madisen to walk briefly. Walking down the path to Beckett Park, they were greeted by a romantic setup of candles, roses, and their favorite song, “Prayed for You.” This was the same path they had taken on their first date. Will then got down on one knee and popped the question while Madisen’s best friend and photographer, hiding in the bushes, captured the special moment.
Madisen and Will had the perfect wedding day, exceeding all expectations. Despite the stressful days leading up to it, their vendors were fantastic, making their day magical. It’s worth noting that Madisen is a full-time pediatric nurse who had just recovered from post-covid and was in an accelerated Master of Science in Nursing program to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She wanted the wedding to be held several months after completing her nurse practitioner program to keep herself moving, so they got engaged in January 2021 and booked the venue in February 2021. However, they later learned that a wedding boom added even more stress to the planning process. Things were going well until October 2021, when their dream venue caught fire, leaving them wondering if it would be rebuilt for the wedding. Thankfully, it was rebuilt in time.
But the challenges did not end there. Madisen took her Dress for alterations in May 2022, and the alteration lady said she would wait to start, knowing that things could change. Unfortunately, 21 days before the wedding, Madisen received a call that only her bustle was completed, and the seamstress had suffered an unfortunate injury. During crunch time, Madisen found someone else who could do much extra work on her dress, including adding a bra, lace sleeves, and a hem, just 14 days before the wedding day.
Despite all these setbacks, Madisen likes to say that she got all the bad juju out of the way before the wedding day, which turned out to be flawless. The girls gathered early at Hanover Reserve to prepare for the day and had an excellent breakfast at the venue, and vendors started trickling in. A gnarly storm rolled through in the late morning, causing the power to flicker out twice. Thankfully, Hanover Reserve had backup generators, which allowed the day to continue. The storm rolled in quickly and left, leaving the rest of the day gorgeous!
Once hair and makeup were done, the couple did a first look, which felt more intimate to them. After the first look, guests started trickling in, and the ceremony occurred, followed by a reception. Madisen and Will danced the night away. The couple said everything was beautiful, and the day quickly passed.
I will always cherish my visit to Bridal & Formal with my mom and cousin Rachel. My cousin Rachel was battling stage 4 cancer at the time and sadly passed away two months later. But I’m so grateful that we got to share this special moment together.
When I called to make an appointment, the girl mentioned that an extra deposit would be required to hold my appointment because Randy Fenoli was going to be in town. I had no idea who that was, so I casually mentioned it when I walked into the shop with my mom and cousin. Rachel was so excited and told me he was the guy from TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress. I couldn’t believe it! Randy was excellent; he took videos and pictures with me and gave his input on each Dress I tried on.
My sales consultant, Sally, was also excellent. She helped me find the perfect lace dress with sleeves that I was looking for. She even pinned my hair, helped me with a hairpiece, veil, and earrings, and ensured I looked absolutely stunning. I had two other bridal shops scheduled for the day but didn’t make it to them as I said yes to the Dress at Bridal & Formal!
Overall, it was the best and most memorable experience, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Bridal & Formal, Randy, and Sally
