The Proposal of John & Amanda

We met at Country Concert in Ft. Loramie in 2018. John was walking by my friend group, and one of my friends accidentally squirted him with a squirt gun. I apologized and complimented his American flag onesie (which happened to be his friend’s GFs cause she didn’t want to wear it, lol), and we were inseparable the rest of the night. He proposed 2 years later at the Centennial Gardens in Houston, TX, while visiting friends. They planned out an entire day of breweries, kayaking, and a picnic after he proposed which was so much fun!

The Wedding

John and I got married on 9/17/2021. Our venue, Stone Valley Meadows, allowed us to be there all day, so while the girls got ready in the bridal suite, the boys were at the groomsman barn playing cornhole and poker. We took too many pictures and took the party bus to the ceremony location at St. Charles Borromeo. The ceremony flew by. Afterward, the bridal party took the bus to the bar Harrigans, and we took a round of shots before heading back to the venue. The bus was on the verge of rolling over with how crazy we were being on the way back. The rest of the reception was a blur from all the drinking, singing, and dancing but was unforgettable. We’ve had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to… I’m sure brides and grooms get all the time, but we’ll take it!

Bridal & Formal Experience

I had a fantastic experience at Bridal and Formal. It was my first stop in Reading Bridal District, and I had a list of Pinterest dresses, focusing on an off-the-shoulder mermaid. My consultant, Maddy, saw my Pinterest page and said she had a great dress in mind that had just come in. That ended up being the first dress I tried on and the one I bought. Maddy worked WONDERS and was so nice about everything. I really thought I would be trying on dresses all day long, but she nailed it!
