The Proposal

Amanda & Trey

Trey & I met in the dorms at our college. We both went down to the laundry room during finals week, and all of the washers and dryers were taken. One washer was almost complete, though, so I decided to wait the last few minutes out instead of going back upstairs. It ended up being his, and we started talking. We hit it off immediately and dated all through college, into our 20s.
On our trip to Gatlinburg, he surprised me by proposing. He gave me flowers and a romantic dinner, and I thought that’s all I was getting; I had no clue he was going to pop the question! But he did, and it was the sweetest thing ever! Of course, I said yes, and we got to enjoy the rest of our trips as a newly engaged couple!

The Wedding

Our wedding day was perfect and beautiful, with sunshine and a slight breeze. We were married in front of the lake surrounded by blooming trees. Our closest friends and family were there, and our guinea pigs as our flower girls! Everything went perfectly. We exchanged vows, kissed, and jumped the broom. The reception was held afterward in the grand ballroom, where we danced the night away. Guests were then invited on the party bus to continue the celebration at our hotel.

We went there for my dress, my bridesmaid dresses, and to look at MOB dresses because we had such outstanding service. Everyone we dealt with there was terrific and so helpful. You guys have a great selection of plus-size dresses, and I never felt limited to what I could do.
Sally is awesome! She was so helpful and kind and really helped me figure out what exactly I wanted. I had some idea, but I was incredibly picky and tried on probably 20 dresses. When I finally found the one I loved, I wasn’t completely sold on it because I wanted sleeves, but Sally found a way to fix that by offering up different sleeve types and explaining how easy it would all be. She’s the reason I picked the dress that I wore on my special day.
