The Proposal of
Mercedez
&
Gretchen
Gretchen and I met back in 2018 at Jefferson Social in downtown Cincinnati. I was meeting many people that I would be working with before I started my new job. We were taking a photo, and then Gretchen stood on top of a small two-person table, and before she got on top of the table, she fell at my feet while her drink went one way and her hat went another. Her best friend likes to say she was pea-cocking, lol. Not too long after, we started working together, and Gretchen finally took me out on our first date. We ate at Buckhead in Bellevue, ky, and that same night she asked me to be her girlfriend. We started dating on April 10, 2018. We made our first big move in the next year of dating when we bought a house together. She proposed in 2020 at our home. She had an adorable idea, but the pandemic hit, and we had to cancel our trip to Gatlingburg, Tennessee, where she was going to pop the question. Instead, she did a puzzle out of paper with a photo of us that said, “Will you marry us” that she had stuffed each piece in a different colored balloon. I had to put together where she and my son was down on one knee with a ring (and a ring pop) asking if I would marry them. Of course, I said yes (to both of them). We are officially married as of May 29, 2021, and a family of three with two fur babies!
The Wedding
of
Mercedez
&
Gretchen
My wedding turned out AMAZING! The weather was great, not too hot, not too cold the only time I really cried was when I saw my son. I wasn’t really nervous. My now-wife was so nervous when we did our first look photos she cried, lol. In all honestly, the whole day was smooth sailing. We got hair and makeup done early that morning. We did our photos at Davou Park at the overlook. We also took some pictures down in Covington, which turned out really pretty. We got to ride on a party bus where we were taking shots of grey goose. We got to Receptions and had time to relax for an hour before it was time to walk down the aisle. Everything went flawlessly, from the ceremony to reception. I couldn’t be happier!
Mercedez’s
Bridal & Formal
Experience
So my experience at Bridal and Formal was terrific! I had Sandra helping me. I only tried on three dresses before I knew that the dress I had picked was the one I had loved!
Sandra was amazing. She made me feel beautiful in every dress I had tried on. I would defiantly recommend her to anyone!
