Bridget and Matt met working on their fitness at Crossfit Annex way back in 2013. Come to find out, they had grown up 6.6 miles away from each other on the West Side of Cincinnati and were now the rebellious ones living on “gasp” the East Side! After many boat rides and nights out with friends, Matt decided to test Bridget’s humor and took her on their first date to see Mormon’s Book. After she passed the test, their relationship began. The past six years have been crazy, involving six moves, two graduate degrees, 3 sets of roommates, and buying their first home. Matt proposed at one of their favorite places, Norris lake, surrounded by fantastic friends. Even though they had no cell phone service, it was perfect, and they got caught in a horrible thunderstorm while staying in a floating home. They wouldn’t change the experience for anything!
With how uncertain we were of our wedding day being able to go off as planned, we decided the day would be all about positivity and fun. The Anderson Pavilion staff could not have been more accommodating and adaptive to the challenges 2020 presented. Our rose garden wedding included temperature checks, wavers, and socially distanced color-coded bracelets. The day began with a party bus ride around town to take pictures of our favorite murals. The colors added the perfect pop to our wedding photos! We returned to the rose garden along the majestic Ohio river for a short, sweet ceremony. After the ceremony, I switched into my reception dress, and the party began. We danced the night away with a fantastic band, flaming donuts, and a beautiful carousel. The breathtaking views of the Roebling Bridge and Carol Ann’s Carousel made our ginormous, socially distanced dance floor picturesquely. Our perfect day was captured by Nikki Petty photography and Hitched creative. We could not have asked for a perfect wedding day. Our pandemic wedding turned out to be everything we could ever imagine!
At Bridal and Formal, I had a wonderful experience. Everyone at Bridal & Formal was very professional and notified me immediately when my dress and veil arrived. The sizing was perfect, and Bridal and Formal also provided me with alteration recommendations and many other bridal planning tools.
I had a wonderful experience with Sandra. Sandra was so patient and kind when I could not make up my mind. She gave me all the possible options and allowed me to take as much time as necessary.
