My wedding turned out better than I ever could have imagined. The whole day was like living out pages in a fairy tale book. It was the perfect weather for a mid-October day- a high of 72 degrees, clear skies, and bold, colorful leaves on the trees. The girls and I got ready in a relative’s mansion, where I had lived with friends for the last 5 years. This was also the location of the reception. The library, staircase, and surrounding grounds outdoors made the perfect backdrop for pictures. We’re in good spirits, my three twirling flower girls, the youngest wearing the dress I wore as a flower girl, and my nephew’s ring-bearer in his oversized suit. They brightened the day with their joyous personalities. After pre-ceremony pictures with the wedding party, I was told that I had to stay in a room in the house and not leave. I thought that maybe something had gone wrong and that everyone was trying to keep me calm by having me avoid a problem.
I’m a relatively quiet and agreeable person, so I didn’t see the need for this isolation. When I was told it was okay to leave the room, my dad brought me to the house’s front door in preparation for leaving to go to the ceremony. To my great surprise, a horse-drawn carriage was waiting in the driveway. My dad and I rode to the church, just down the street. Neighbors stood at their front doors, waving as we rode by them. My dad, who is also my pastor, performed the ceremony. I married Clayton, and our church body, family, and friends were in attendance to celebrate as we made our wedding vows before the Lord. After the ceremony, Clayton and I rode back with the horse-drawn carriage to the reception with a “Just Married” sign attached to the back. The reception was held in tents in the backyard. We danced the night away and enjoyed conversations with our family and friends. Before we knew it, the evening came to an end. We exited with a sparkler send-off. This is a day we will never forget, and we are so grateful to all of our family, friends, and vendors who worked together to make it all happen.
Bridal and Formal were very helpful throughout the entire shopping process. There was a vast selection of dresses, and they helped me stay within my budget. I picked out about 6-7 dresses to try on that fit the style that I had in mind. Then, I saw a dress at the end of an aisle that I had to try on! It didn’t fit the style I had imagined, but I fell in love with it as soon as I tried it on. Bobbi, my consultant, raved about how beautiful it looked on me and said it perfectly fit my body type. She helped me feel confident in my decision, and I’m so glad I chose to pick that dress to wear on my wedding day.
Bobbi was an excellent consultant! She raved about the dress I chose, and she helped me feel confident while trying it on. She took into account my body type and my style interests. Bobbi is very positive and has a bubbly personality. She gave honest opinions and helped me find the dress that was just right for me.
