Andrew and Hannah were both at a Kentucky Derby Party, where they were first introduced to each other through mutual friends while attending the University of Louisville. They began dating a few months after they initially met and dated for four years before Andrew proposed. When the proposal happened, Hannah and Andrew were visiting his brother and sister-in-law in Atlanta, GA. Following a fun day of exploring the city, they walked through Piedmont Park, where Hannah thought they were going to dinner, but little did she know that Andrew had other plans. On their walk, Hannah and Andrew stopped at a lake in the park when Andrew proposed. He had completely surprised Hannah.
Andrew and I were married on May 9th, 2020, at Ault Park in Cincinnati, OH. Amidst the pandemic, we both knew that we wanted to get married,k even though we were aware it wouldn’t look like our original plan of a wedding at Rhinegeist with 250 of our family friends. We decided to go forward with our wedding day, inviting only our immediat3e family members. Being a public park, Ault Park was a perfect venue for a wedding during VOCID-19. Due to the pandemic, we could not rent the venue, but coordinators at Ault informed us that we could still have a wedding if we wanted because it was a public park. We took a risk and told our few vendors to set up at the pavilion that Saturday evening. Everything went smoothly, and it was such a perfect day with our families. A few of our friends watched from afar, and our other guests were able to watch from the comfort and safety of their homes through a live stream Facebook group. Following the ceremony, we made our way to the picnic tables nearby, popped some champagne, and ate sandwiches from The Pretzel Place in Bellevue. After eating and celebrating, Andrew and I traveled to Mainstrausse in Covington for golden hour photos with our AMAZING photographer, Chole Grunns (Era26 Photography). Although we were unable to have the large wedding we originally planned for, we both agreed that we wouldn’t have had our wedding day any other way, with the people who mean the most to us – our family.
My experience at Bridal and Formal was terrific. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed by selecting dresses to choose from, but my consultant, Mary, eased my mind and pulled dresses for me that I loved. She was kind and listened to what I wanted, including the price. I would recommend 10/10.
