My wedding day was a southern elegant blush dream, from my ceremony and reception’s perfect classic white ballroom backdrop to the skyline’s Nashville rooftop views. It was magical! No detail was spared! Blush and antique pink roses and peonies filled the Ballroom and bouquets my bridesmaids and I carried! They were incredible. Candles in multi-sized glass vases lined the aisle and window sills to set the perfect soft, elegant ambiance. I spent the morning in the bridal suite getting hair and makeup with my eight beautiful friends and my mom and wedding planner. We steamed dresses, drank mimosas, and reflected on our years of love and friendship.
I slipped into my dream dress abound at 3:00 PM. I headed down to the Saidee Gallery in the hotel to get some incredible photos of my mom helping me in my gown and my sister slipping me into my Carrie Bradshaw Blue Manolo Blahnik heels. I received my surprise wedding gift, a David Yurman bracelet with blue sapphire stones, from my hubby! Next, it was time for our rooftop first looks at the Rare Bird rooftop lounge atop our hotel venue, Noelle. The views overlook the entire downtown Nashville area and across the Cumberland River. The moment Zach saw me in my beautiful gown was one I will never forget! I never felt more beautiful and loved. A few tears of joy fell, but the moment was perfection! After the first look, we headed down to the Trade Room Ballroom for the wedding party and family pics, where even our two Chihuahuas joined us for some incredible pictures with all the people I love most in the world. I even jumped up in the gorgeous eight-foot windows for some of my bridal portraits! These pics showcased my gown and are some of my absolute favorites from the day! My soon-to-be husband and I headed out to Nashville’s downtown streets and the famous Printers Alley right behind our venue for some bridal portraits in the alley and on the gorgeous corner of 4th Street & Church. We then visited our families and made our way to our suites to touch up and prepare for 5:30 PM…wedding time! I met my dad down in the Saidee Gallery right outside the Ballroom and got ready for our long walk down the aisle!
The doors slowly opened, and it was time for the ceremony, which was perfect! We had Nashville singer/songwriters perform while we lit our Unity Candle, and it was indeed one of the best moments of my life. The ceremony did not go off without a hitch, as my sister forgot my new husband’s wedding band in the bridal suite, and when it came time to exchange rings, we had to use Zach’s dad’s wedding band (which was a perfect fit) while my sweet wedding planner raced to find the actual wedding band. After many laughs and a little confusion, the ring showed up just in time, and the officiant blessed it again. We said, “I DO,” and sealed it with a sweet kiss. We were then announced as “Mr. and Mrs. Zachery Fowler!” We left the Ballroom to the sounds of “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles and walked out to an hour-long cocktail hour where we got pictures and mingled with family and guests while they flipped our Ballroom for the reception. I received many compliments on my gown, with many people saying it was the most elegant and classy gown they had ever seen! I had to agree; it was the star of the show! Finally, it was time for our reception! I was too excited to see all of our hard work and planning come together! Our wedding planner let us sneak into the Ballroom after the flip to see the room decorated with our lighting, cake set up, and all the beautiful details finally in their place! It was a dream and turned out more perfect than I could have imagined! We slipped back out to meet our wedding party, and the doors opened for all of our guests. The music began, and our wedding party introductions until it was time for the Bride and Groom! We entered our reception to “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder, and I never felt so much so!
We danced the night away to all our favorite songs, cut and ate our beautiful five-tier multi-flavor cake, and listened to the most incredible speeches by our Best Man, Maid of Honor, and my super sweet Dad. We danced our First Dance to “Without You,” written and performed by our friend and wedding singer Dave Pahanish and made famous by the one and only Keith Urban. Only in Nashville do dreams like that come true! Truly the perfect experience in every way! We concluded the night with a sparkler send-off in Printers Alley and cocktails on the rooftop bar with our remaining friends and family. The rain began to fall, which got the bottom of my gorgeous designed gown a bit wet and dirty, but it was well worth it! The perfect dress served me well on a perfect day! It was indeed an exquisite experience in every way!
Thank you, Bridal and Formal!
I had the most unique and intimate experience during my first try-on and fitting session at Bridal and Formal. Of course, I brought my mom and my sister, who was my Maid of Honor. We worked with Peggy and immediately fell in love with her! She made us feel so comfortable and welcome! I tried on 8 dresses in all but fell in love with the 2nd dress I tried on. A silk elegant Monique Lhuillier Gown! It was perfect in every way! We celebrated with lots of hugs, a few tears, and cheers of Champaign! We felt utterly thrilled and knew we had chosen the perfect gown for me! No need to look any further!
Peggy was amazing! She made us feel so welcome and comfortable from the moment we met! She immediately picked up on my style and the feel I wanted for my romantic, stylish wedding! Peggy was so knowledgeable and went as far as to have the designer send us a sample of the exact fabric and color my dress would be upon arrival. She was in constant contact and helped me select the perfect dress and size for my body, which was a near-perfect fit when it arrived. She eased all my fears about ordering a custom dress in a short amount of time. We called in October and needed the gown by May. And just as promised, the dress arrived in plenty of time! Peggy made our experience fantastic, and I would recommend her to all of my friends and family!
