It would only be fun if one word would describe my wedding day. We started the day getting ready at my bridesmaid Alicia’s home and headed to the riverfront for the first look and group photos at Smale Park. The groomsmen got ready at the home of the best man Brad and then headed to Morelein for some pre-ceremony beers, because why not. It was chilly and overcast, but to be expected for January. We had a big bridal party, which increased the day’s excitement. The ceremony was held at the Cincinnati Club, where we also had our reception. My aunt and godmother were our officiants, and my cousins did our readings. We blended some traditional and non-traditional features, as my other 70-year-old aunt was our flower girl and passed out liquor bottles as she came down the aisle. Our reception was a whole night of dancing and culminated in the groomsmen serenading me with the song “Sarah” and lifting my chair in the air, which I had not been expecting but was my husband’s favorite part of the reception. We had a night full of family, friends, and fun, and we couldn’t have asked for more!

Experience

My experience with Bridal and Formal was terrific! I had been to 2 other boutiques earlier in the day, but I was so impressed by the variety and collection at Bridal and Formal. I worked with Sandra, and she was so wonderful! We were trying on gowns that weren’t just right, and she found the perfect one for me! I couldn’t have been happier.
I couldn’t be more thrilled with the gown Sandra picked out for me. She could tell when we were getting confused and overwhelmed with the “sparkle,” and she really focused on me and the style I wanted and found me a simple, elegant perfect winter gown.
